About

Meet Léon Hohn Osteopath D. O.

Story

My first encounter with osteopathy happened long before I began my studies. I was treated by osteopaths from birth, and what always struck me -even as a child—wasn't a dramatic adjustment or a loud "crack." Instead, it was the amazing capacity of osteopaths to restore balance and alleviate pain using only soft, precise techniques, even after a heavy physical impact. These sessions always left me in a state of deep relaxation, almost meditative and that is exactly what I strive to offer my patients today.

I have always been, and will always be, passionate about sports. Rugby, skateboarding, martial arts, surfing, snowboarding, you name it, I have put my body through it. From big falls to hard impacts, I've experienced the kind of shocks that leave a lasting mark. Time after time, osteopathy was what helped me "come back to myself." It wasn't just about patching up an injury; it was a deeper reset for my entire system.

Clinical Experience & Specialization

I trained at the Osteopathic College of Bordeaux, where I developed a practice built on the principle of "listening" to the body first. To ensure the highest level of patient safety, I completed advanced training in Structural Decoaptation techniques with Jérôme Noury. I recognize that structural adjustments can feel daunting for some, so I specialized in these precise methods to ensure that every movement is as gentle, safe, and painless as possible.

I also have a specialization in treating pregnant mothers and infants. I have always felt that birth is one of life’s most profound moments both for the mother giving life and the new soul receiving it. For three years, I practiced in a multidisciplinary clinic in Gradignan (Bordeaux) alongside a pediatrician, midwife, and psychologist. This collaborative environment allowed us to provide holistic support for mothers and their newborns. I loved the unique experience of meeting babies first in the womb while working with their mothers, and then a second time after delivery. It felt as though a deep connection had already been established.

A Holistic Philosophy

I believe that true healing involves looking at the whole person. Often, the root of chronic pain, fatigue, or tension can be found in the connection between our internal health and our physical structure. By addressing visceral health and the gut-brain connection, we can often unlock relief for symptoms that haven't responded to traditional structural work alone.

My practice also incorporates craniosacral therapy, a subtle yet powerful tool for calming the nervous system. While some aspects of healing are understood intellectually, others are best understood through the profound sense of release and balance you feel in your own body.

If you are struggling with persistent pain, feeling exhausted, or simply sense that your body is "out of alignment," I am here to listen and help you find your way back to balance.
